All around the country pioneer days are being celebrated and little girls love dressing up in the prairie style clothing. I have been getting many orders for end of the year programs at school, for community pioneer celebrations and for library book days.
What a blessing it is to get to work with the parents to design an outfit for their little ones and then to hear how excited the girls are when their pioneer clothing arrives.
I have been trying to build up an inventory but as soon as I get a dress completed and advertised, it sells.
A customer bought this dress but. . . her daughter is very tall so she needed it to be lengthened.
I had enough of the fabric to add a 6 inch panel to the bottom of the dress. On the inside you can see the seam where I added the panel.
But on the outside it does not show at all.
There is no way to make the pinafore longer but since the pioneer girls wore them all different lengths it will work perfectly.
The lucky little girl who will receive this outfit is also getting a matching outfit for her American Girl Doll. Once the doll outfit is completed the package will be heading to New York.
