Mardi Gras in Mississippi

Our oldest grandson is visiting and this weekend was our neighborhood Mardi Gras parade so we decided to go. This parade is never really crowded and it caters to families. It is safe and a fun time.

We arrived a little early and got a good parking spot.

Hope you enjoy the photos of the parade.

Lots of antique cars made it to the parade.

We live in a golfing community so there were many golf carts decorated for the occasion.

The crowd is definitely nothing like a New Orleans parade which is one of the reason we enjoy it.

Of course, there were several floats honoring the New Orleans Saints.

This is the port-a-potty mounted to the back of the float, a real necessity for a family with young children.

And here we are showing off our catch!

There are a lot more beads in the back of the car, we couldn’t wear them all.

Hope you enjoyed our neighborhood parade.
