A few days ago I wrote about a local fabric department closing and the great deals I found.  I returned a few days later and found some more fabric closeouts.

This ecru and burgundy flower is similar to the one I found last week.

Amigurumi, Again

Awhile back I wrote about amigurumi and how cute these little creatures are.  I think these guys are addictive because the more you see of them, the more you want to see them.

I was doing a little browsing around Flickr and found some of the neatest amigurumi photos, so I thought I would share. . .

Saving $$$ by Signing-Up

I have started scouting the internet for good deals.  They are hard to come by and most of them set you up to inundated with junk emails.  I sure did not want that to happen so I decided to stick with some of my favorites and register with them.

My absolute favorite is Hobby Lobby.  When you sign up to receive their weekly specials, they also send you the weekly coupon.  This year they have been running a 40% off coupon every other week, and you can use one a day.  This is a great way to purchase broadcloth and interfacing-things I use tons of-very cheaply.  It is also a good way to pick up some of that higher priced fabric at a bargain price.

I Won!!!

One of my favorite blogs is written by Sarah Doyle.  She is a fellow seamstress and her husband is a sewing machine repairman.  Her blog is a quick and easy read (she is not long-winded like me) and full of good information.

She had a contest on her blog this Spring asking others to submit helpful sewing hints.  I submitted a few hints that had really saved me time and I won!! . . .

Calling All Crocheters!!!

I am always interested in new crochet patterns and today I came across this website that offers free filet crochet instructions and patterns.  I have never done filet crochet so I am very anxious to try this.

This site has patterns for clothing, accessories and home decor.  Looks very nice!
